Study of Riyadh Storm Sewer System (Phase 5)
The Study of Riyadh Storm Sewer System (Phase 5) was commissioned by the Riyadh Municipality to address stormwater and flood management in key areas of the city. The project involved conducting comprehensive hydrological, hydraulic, geological, and topographical studies to design efficient stormwater drainage systems, including 34.9 km of box channels, 226.3 km of main pipes, and 106.5 km of secondary catch basin pipes. It aimed to identify rain-prone zones, propose cost-effective drainage solutions, prepare detailed design plans, and enhance public safety against flooding risks. The study also integrated future urban development, climate data, and infrastructure planning to guide strategic stormwater management across Riyadh.
