Study and Design of Odor Control Systems for Sewerage Systems

Client National Water Company
Section Studies & Design
Project Date 2020
Description

Addressing the problem of the emergence of odors resulting from domestic wastewater transport operations through sewage water networks, tunnels, and lift stations from the served areas in the north and northwest neighborhoods of Jeddah by providing the best appropriate and modern solutions for the purpose of ensuring treatment and removal of these odors from the affected sites as well as the preservation of populated areas and the surrounding environment, equipment, machinery and auxiliary devices in those sites. This is presented by clarifying and explaining those environmentally appropriate designs, taking into account the value engineering methodology in preparing the design calculation note and that it is at the lowest operational cost and by achieving the purpose for which this project was established, in addition to that, the specialists will be visiting the sites, recording information and data for the calculations and measuring H2S gas concentration and analyzing the results, to later clarify the reasons for choosing the specific system to remove those odors, and then conduct a workshop, and clarify the reasons for choosing this type of odor control/treatment system compared to other available and modern systems and provide proof of its effectiveness and success at different sites.
