AL-Jubail SWRO Desalination Plant Phase 2 project, located within the Jubail plant complex, involves the construction of a seawater desalination plant utilizing Reverse Osmosis technology, with a net production capacity of 400,000 m³/day. Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG, based in Germany, has been appointed as the Owner’s Engineer and Supervision Consultant by SWA. SEPCOIII from China, has been selected as the main EPC contractor while Metito from the UAE and AYESA from Spain as engineering subcontractors for the project. The plant is in its final construction and commissioning stages. As Fichtner’s contractual period elapsed, SWA had selected Engineering Principles Company as Owner’s Engineer to finalize pending engineering documents and supervise the remaining construction and commissioning activities, assuring the EPC Contractor’s compliance with the contractual requirement and implementation of good engineering practices.
